Ti Ti was a re-branding exercise for a local peranakan shop. The motivation behind the work was to help the local shop attract a younger crowd to look at their wares.

With that in mind, I named the project "Ti Ti" which means small bridge in Malay, as it was conceived with the hope of bringing the old and new together.

One of the key artefacts of the Peranakan culture is the beaded slippers. Hence, this was a consideration when the graphics for the project was created. As seen in the postcards, one side represented the beaded quality of the slippers while the other side a more modern graphic of the same flower.

The flower used in pretty much the whoel project is the peony a flower used in many Peranakan wares as it symbolises peace and prosperity
