THIS IS A...?

I thought this was interesting, in terms of how scientifically a pineapple is called an Ananas comosus and many languages around the world likewise calls a pineapple "ananas" or something similar. And yet, when we see this yellow fruit, our inclination is to call it pineapple not because it is scientifically accurate or for any other reason other than our historical background > cultural background resulting in our association between the fruit and the word.

Bringing this further to Magritte's way of looking at things. With his artwork " this is not a pipe". It makes you re-look at the way you look at words. And pineapple like ananas is just another created work. To us it might be meaning, to someone else it might be gibberish.
